Paper Plate Scarecrow Craft at Growing Up

The Family Camp Out at Freedom Lake Park
Come join the City of Pinellas Park Recreation Services for a night under the stars with your family. Participants will enjoy camp food, games, fishing, a movie and much more! $15 per family. Register at one of Pinellas Park's Recreation Centers or online at www.pinellas-park.com. 5:00pm.
Oozefest at Vinoy Park
Hosted by Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association, this cheesy food festival returns for its third year to downtown St. Pete. The gourmet food trucks will be serving up cheesy-inspired dishes as well as their normal cuisine. The family-friendly festival also features live music and a craft beer garden. 6:00pm.
Parents' Night Out at Madeira Beach Recreation Center
Join Madeira Beach Recreation for Parents' Night Out! Drop off your children ages 5 to 14 at the Rec Center and a fully licensed staff will keep them entertained with games, movies, and activities while you head out for the evening! Cost is $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents. 6:00-10:00pm.
St. Pete Shuffle at St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club
Friday nights are free and open to the public at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club! Bring your own food and beverages and enjoy the courts. 7:00-10:00pm.
"Yuletide Skies" at SPC Planetarium & Observatory
Be sure to visit SPC's Yuletide planetarium decorated for the holiday season! Go back in time 2000 years to see astronomical events that may have inspired the Biblical account of the "Christmas Star" at SPC Planetarium's Free Friday Shows. Children must be at least 5 years old to attend. 7:00pm & 8:15pm.
Saturday, November 17th
Saturday Morning Market at Al Lang Stadium
This lively and huge outdoor market is open from October to May in the parking lot of Al Lang Stadium. Live music, a variety of vendors and a strong sense of community make this market the heart of St. Pete. 9:00am-2:00pm.
Join SPFD for the Grand Opening of Station 7 at 875 64th Ave. N. Bring your family and friends to tour the fire station and enjoy the bounce houses and other family activities! The ceremony will start promptly at 9am with opening remarks, a flag ceremony and ribbon cutting. After the ceremony, all are welcome to look around the station and enjoy the activities. 9:00am-12:00pm.
Nature's Elements at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve
Children ages 3 to 6 will enjoy nature walks, tram rides, program animals, art, games, songs, and stories with environmental educator in this drop-off program with Amalia Fernand from Nature Explorers International. Nature Explorers, from 1 to 4pm, will have similar activities tailored for ages 7 to 12. Cost is $15. 9:30am-12:30pm.
Shopapalooza Festival, Part 1 at South Straub Park
Shopapalooza is Tampa Bay's biggest shopping event of the year, packed with free entertainment, free giveaways and plenty of surprises! The event also features free entertainment, free giveaways, free activities for children and plenty of surprises. 10:00am-5:00pm.
Tampa Bay Holiday Market at The Coliseum
Hosted by The Tampa Bay Times, Holiday Market & Expo is a two-day event held at The Coliseum in Downtown St. Petersburg. The market will have various kinds of chocolates, candles, jewelry, handbags, garments, holiday gifts, decorative items and more! Santa will be in the house both Saturday and Sunday. 10:00am-5:00pm.
Saturdays at the Morean Arts Center
Saturdays @ the Morean is a free family drop-in art studio hosted by the Morean Arts Center. 10:00am-3:30pm.
Explore Science: Let's Do Chemistry at Great Explorations
The Explore Science: Let’s Do Chemistry event at Great Explorations Children’s Museum is part of a nationwide festival of educational programs about ways to experiment, explore and tackle challenges with chemistry. This program is included with general admission, free for members 10:00am-2:00pm.
Kidding Around Yoga at The MFA
Join the MFA the first and third Saturday of each month (except for December) at 10 am with your children ages 3 and up. The Kidding Around Yoga system utilizes the yoga poses or asanas creatively tucked into: partner yoga, games and activities, original music, stories and more. The class is specifically designed for kids – families welcome. Cost is $5 per person and includes admission to the MFA Collections Gallery. 10:00-11:00am.
CraftArt Festival at Florida CraftArt
Located just outside the doors of the Florida CraftArt Gallery along Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg, the CraftArt Festival is a destination for tourists and local visitors to enjoy an artful Florida weekend. More than 120 of the nation’s best contemporary fine craft artists show and sell their creations. There are artist demonstrations (wheel throwing, glass blowing, wood turning), a children’s activity tent, food trucks, wine and craft beer. 10:00am-5:00pm.
Make & Take Saturday at The MFA
Create your own masterpiece inspired by works in the MFA's collection and special exhibitions. Recommended for ages five and older, but entire families are encouraged to participate. All activities are included with admission. 11:00am-2:00pm.
Little Surrealists Tour at The Dali Museum

Menorah Workshop at The Home Depot
Join the Chabad Jewish Center of Greater St. Petersburg to create your own emoji Menorah or Chanukah kit at The Home Depot at Tyrone Blvd! The event will also feature Chanukah music, Chanukah treats, and games and prizes. This workshop is free but reservations are required. 2:30-4:00pm.
