Celebrate Independence Day with a boom! From parades and celebrations to all the fireworks, there's something for every family to enjoy this Fourth of July in and around St. Petersburg.


Thursday, July 4th


What: Join the City of Gulfport for a free event featuring a fishing derby (8am-10:30am), sand sculpture contest (10am-12pm), live band, parade (6pm), and dazzling fireworks (9pm)!

When: 8:00AM-10:00PM

Where: Downtown Gulfport


What: Bring your red, white, and blue best to Pass-a-Grille's Annual 4th of July Parade! Lineup begins at 8:30AM at the Historical Museum on 10th Ave. There will be a scavenger hunt for kids after the parade at the museum, plus everyone is invited to Grace Restaurant for refreshments after.

When: 9:00AM

Where: 8th Avenue, Pass-a-Grille Beach


What: Bring the family, a blanket and your own picnic basket to Highland Family Aquatic Center! Alcohol and glass are not permitted in the facility. Splash's Snack Bar will be open. Prices are for groups of up to five people: $12 members/$24 non-members. This event is open to all ages.

What: Put on your red, white and blue attire, decorate your bikes, tricycles, wagons, scooters, strollers and baby buggies and join Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood Association for a patriotic salute to the USA! The parade is led by the American Spirit Fife and Drum Corps down Coffee Pot Boulevard, and St. Pete Fire Department Station #4 will have a hook-and-ladder on site for the children to explore and learn about.

What: Join the Town of Kenneth City for an old-fashioned day of fun at the Town’s Annual Independence Day Holiday Parade. The parade begins at 10:00AM at 62nd Street and proceeds eastbound on 54th Avenue until it reaches 58th Street, at which point it turns right and heads southbound on 58th Street coming to an end at the Kenneth City Community Hall, located at 4600 58th Street. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and sit along 54th Avenue, or join your friends and neighbors anywhere along 58th Street for a patriotic celebration! Following the parade, stick around for grilled hotdogs, ice cold beverages, and other tasty treats that will be on hand for a nominal fee.

What: Make a splash this 4th of July with $1 Splash Day at all City of St. Petersburg pools! Visit StPeteParksRec.org/pools to find a pool near you.

What: Come out to celebrate Independence Day at the second annual Historic Uptown 4th of July Block Party! Stop by the 600 block of 5th St. N between noon and 5pm where there will be an all-ages water slide and other fun activities. Then head over to Round Lake Park for a neighborhood potluck and the Friends of Round Lake kick-off event where kids can create water cycle bracelets and plant some new plants with the help of local experts.

What: Rock on this 4th of July with awesome free live music by headliner Stormbringer! Live performances also by the Brian Caudill Band and end the night with a bang and our awesome fireworks show! Music starts at 2PM and fireworks at 9PM. Paradise Grille will have food and beverages available for purchase.

Join Old Southeast Market and Mother Kombucha for a 4th of July Picnic at Lassing Park! Fun for everyone.

What: Looking for a great fireworks show and an excellent time to celebrate our nation's birthday? Bring your chairs, blankets, and family for the festivities at Largo Central Park. Limited on-site parking for $10, Largo High School parking for $5. No dogs, alcohol, fireworks, or coolers allowed.

What: Join the MFA Café for art, food, fireworks, and live entertainment from Americana band, The Rebekah Pulley Twosome, at the 12th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Buffet! $46/adult, $23/children under 12. Limited seating; reservations strongly recommended.

What: Celebrate 4th of July in St. Petersburg’s downtown waterfront! Fireworks are scheduled to start at 9 p.m. but can start as early as 8:30 p.m. and as late as 10 p.m. depending on weather. This year’s celebration has a fun, new feature. Enjoy the fireworks to synchronized music that is accessible through an optional, free phone app called J&M Displays. The app works with iPhone and Android systems. The fireworks can also be enjoyed without music. Admission is FREE.

Where: Downtown St. Petersburg


What: The City of Madeira Beach will launch its Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular from the Madeira Beach Fundamental School at approximately 9PM. The fireworks show, produced by Xtreme FX, will last approximately 24-minutes and will feature high altitude detonations with a multi-display grand finale. While the fireworks will be visible from virtually anywhere in Madeira beach, prime viewing locations for the fireworks include Causeway Park, ROC Park, and the Holten Property. Each of these locations will have free parking on a first come, first served basis. When: 8:45-10:00PM

What: Enjoy 4th of July on the Redington Shores beach at dusk this Independence Day! Beach Access is available at 182nd Ave and Gulf Blvd.

What: Join the City of Treasure Island for an epic firework show! Beach parking is located at TI Park for $15 between 9-10PM or at any city-owned metered lot.
