Spring Break Camps St. Petersburg Florida 2020

Spring break for Pinellas County students begins March 16, and if you'll spend the week working, you're going to need somewhere to send your kids. Even if you have time off, you may want to schedule a fun activity for them to enjoy your own break.


The following youth programs come to the rescue with spring break camps to keep kids happily occupied and learning during the break. Be sure to register in advance, these camps can fill up without notice.

International environmental educator Amalia Fernand will take campers on a tour of the world’s natural settings with songs and other activities that create a comprehensive picture of world geography. Limit of 45 campers.


Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

March 16-20, 9:00am-4:00pm (extended care available)

Ages 4 to 7

Cost: $160


Our goal is to provide the best possible camp experience. Your kids will have a great time! Camp includes training as well as a lot of fun games- Nerf Wars, Capture the Flag and Dodgeball are some camp favorites. Since they will be training hard and moving all day, you can expect them to be worn out, but happy at the end of camp.


Jungle Gym

March 16-20, 9:00am-4:00pm

Ages 6 & up

Cost: $300/week (non-members), $250/week (members), sibling discount available


Campers experience a time when family, friendship and character were as important as food, water, and shelter. Activities are adapted from the Association of Experiential Education to foster team building, leadership, and self-esteem. Limit of 45 campers.


Pinellas Pioneer Settlement

March 16-20, 9:00am-4:00pm (extended care available)

Ages 7 to 13

Cost: $130/week for non-members, $110/week for Pinellas Pioneer Settlement members


The School of Skatin has a fun-filled spring camp planned this year with amazing field trips to skate parks, lessons, clinics, and fun interactive activities . The camp caters to all skill levels, beginner to advanced. Come shred and have the most amazing spring break!

By choosing Bayside Sports Academy for your child's camp you are giving them a time of fun-filled activities. The children will stay busy learning gymnastics skills as they improve their physical well-being and self-esteem through gymnastics instruction, games, and relay races. Full- and Half-Day Camps are available!


Bayside Sports Academy

Register your child for Spring Break Camp at the James B. Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center. Field trips every day including ZooTampa, Astro Skate, movies, Chuck E. Cheese, and North Shore Pool.

Vertical Ventures Camp programs will give children the skills and confidence to scale walls up to 40' high with ease. More experienced climbers will learn the skills it takes to tackle some of the more difficult climbs. Participants will learn the fundamentals of climbing movement, equipment, and safety. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced level climbers are welcome.


Vertical Ventures

Ages 6 to 16

Cost: $159/members, $199/non-members


Five whole days of games, crafts, activities, skits, and songs. You'll have a blast over spring break learning about the larger than life figures and stories of American Tall Tales with Gulfport Community Players Junior Stars!


Back Door Theater

March 16-20, 9:00am-2:00pm

Ages 5 & up

Cost: $85, sibling discounts available


Come to enjoy a new decade each day.  We will flashback to the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s. Crafts and games will take you back in time.  Participants must bring a lunch and wear closed-toe shoes.


Highland Recreation & Southwest Recreation Complex

March 16-20, 7:00am-6:00pm

Grades K-5

Cost: $138/week for residents, $172/week for non-residents (daily rates available)


Campers will experience a variety of different art mediums including but not limited to: clay, ceramics, watercolor, canvas painting, bubble painting, glass painting, etc. Camp will include educational components during project instruction. A kid-friendly film will be shown during lunch break.


Practically Pikasso

March 16-20 + 23, 9:30am-4:00am (full day), 9:30am-12:00pm or 12:30-4:00pm (half day), extended care available

Ages 5 to 12

Cost: $55/full day ($65 drop-in), $35/half day ($45 drop-in), sibling discounts available


Each day this program includes a combination of nature stories, songs, games, crafts and hikes to explore the outdoors. The goal is to nurture a child’s curiosity, help them acquire developmentally appropriate skills and instill an appreciation and respect for our natural world. Limit of 15 campers.


Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

March 16-20, 9:00am-12:00pm

Ages 3 to 4

Cost: $65/week for non-members, $55/week for FOBH members


This very popular camp program is designed to give youth fun, engaging and memorable times while vacationing from school. Features include creative planned activities with well trained coaches, indoor and outdoor rotating activities, and special events.


St. Petersburg Recreation Centers

March 16-20, 7:30am-5:30pm (extended care available)

Grades K-8

Cost: $90/week, fee assistance available


Put on your dancing shoes and we will "Boot Scoot and Boogie" through the day.  We have a Western-themed day full of fun activities.  Participants must pack a lunch and wear closed-toe shoes.


Highland Recreation & Southwest Recreation Complex

March 23, 7:00am-6:00pm

Grades K-5

$30/residents, $38/non-residents


The camp focuses on nature and science topics. Exciting activities include nature hikes, games, and animal and plant studies. Campers explore the natural world, learn to share discoveries, work together, develop their personal creativity, and have fun.
