Thanksgiving Break Camps in St. Petersburg

Believe it or not, Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Pinellas County Schools will close for the week beginning November 19th so if you're family isn't traveling, it's time to make plans to keep your kids busy over the break.


Whether you're working or need time to get ready for Thanksgiving festivities, we've rounded up the best camp options for kids in the St. Petersburg, Florida area. Click the links below for more information.

 

Bayside Thanksgiving Break Camp

By choosing Bayside for your child's camp you are giving them a time of fun-filled activities. The children will stay busy learning gymnastics skills as we improve their physical well-being and self-esteem through gymnastics instruction, games, and relay races. Full- and Half-Day Camps are available! Bayside Sports Academy, November 19-21, 7:45am-5pm, ages 5-13, $50/full day, $40/half day. Register.


Boyd Hill Day Camps

Fun and exciting adventures await your child! Campers will discover nature and wildlife while being educated about caring for our environment. Fall camps include Sprouts Camp, Young Naturalist Camp, Turtle Camp, Earth Science Camp and Pioneer Camp. Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, November 19-21, 9am-4pm (extended care available, Sprouts Camp 9am-12pm), ages 3-13, $40-90. Register.


Makeme Fall Break Camp

Makeme's mixed-media camps are the perfect way to enrich and entertain your little ones during school breaks!  Camps are for children ages 5-10 and include awesome themes that incorporate many opportunities for making (including painting, drawing, collage, sewing, building and much more!)  Experienced instructors and small classes keep camps both attentive and engaging. makeme, November 19-21, 9:00am-12:00pm, ages 5-10, $90/3 days. Morean Thanksgiving Break Art Camp for Kids

Join the Morean Arts Center for a 3-day Thanksgiving Break Art Camp for Kids where we turn your children into multi-media artists! Children will explore a variety of mediums in both guided and self-guided experiences. Morean Arts Center, November 19-21, 9am-3pm (extended care available), ages 5-10, $95/members, $115/non-members. PLAY Performing Arts Thanksgiving Break Camp

Just like their most popular Hogwarts Summer Camp, St. Pete MAD’s brand-new Fantastic Beasts Camp gets a perfect 9 ¾ Camp Rating from Potter fans! Two full days of magic where fun and creative themed activities take students on a journey into the magical world of “Fantastic Beasts!" Register by November 14th and get $25 FREE Registration. Practically Pikasso Thanksgiving Break Camp

Campers will experience a variety of art mediums including but not limited to clay, ceramics, canvas painting, bubble painting and glass painting. Camp will include educational components during project instruction. A kid friendly film will be shown during lunch break. Practically Pikasso, November 19-21, 9:30am-4pm (extended care available, Tots Camp 9:30-11:30am), ages 3-12, $65/full day, $45/half day, $45/day for Tots Camp. Register.


School of Skatin Fall Skateboarding Camp

All skill levels welcome! Beginner, intermediate and advanced! Beginners will focus on the basics of pushing, stance, balance, ollie, turning, stopping, and basic street style and skate park tricks. Intermediate/Advanced will focus on the more technical aspect of skateboarding like kickflips, ledges, handrails, switch stance skating and more technical ramp and park skating. We will be taking trips daily to local skate parks while also having lessons and fun interactive activities. Your skater will learn and grow all while having a blast every day of camp! St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Camp

This very popular camp program is designed to give youth fun, engaging and memorable times while vacationing from school. Camps for elementary and middle school aged kids include creative planned activities with trained coaches, indoor and outdoor rotating activities, and special events. St. Petersburg Recreation Centers, November 19-21, 7:30am-5:30pm (extended care available), grades K-8, $54/full pay, $45.90/reduced, $18.90/free. Fee assistance available. Register.


Thanksgiving Art Camp for Kids

Join the Morean Arts Center for a 3-day Thanksgiving Break Art Camp for Kids where children become multi-media artists! Children will explore a variety of mediums in both guided and self-guided experiences. Morean Arts Center, November 19-21, 9:00am-3:00pm (extended care available), ages 5 to 10, $95/members, $115/non-members. Register.


Thanksgiving Video Camp for Teens

Campers will discover video in a new way. In the Morean Arts Center's newly-renovated digital studio, campers will use smart phones, tablets, cameras and brand-new 2018 iMac Pro computers to storyboard, shoot and edit a collaborative class video. Instructor Lance Rothstein will cover audio, titles and b-roll footage. This will be an action-packed, hands-on class that is sure to be fun. Morean Arts Center, November 19-21, 9:00am-3:00pm (extended care available), ages 11 to 16, $180/members, $200/non-members. Register.


The Science Center Fall Camp

Join The Science Center of Pinellas for fall, Florida-style. Campers will be harvesting a full day of fun including making fall crafts, exploring the history of corn in America, creating a corn husk toy, fashioning a walking stick, journeying into the fall sky via a planetarium, and giving thanks to the critters in the 600-gallon touch tank. The Science Center of Pinellas, November 19-21, 9am-4pm (extended care available), grades K-6, $65/day or $125/3 days. Register.


YMCA Thanksgiving Camp

The Jim and Heather Gills YMCA offers in-service and holiday camps year round. Camp is open to everyone! Jim and Heather Gills YMCA, November 19-21, 7am-6pm, ages 5-12, $85/members, $115/non-members. Register.


Young Chefs Academy Thanksgiving Week Camp

Who says turkey has to be the centerpiece of the holiday table? Not Young Chefs Academy! Kids can throw tradition out the window with some mouth-watering alternatives, such as Grilled Steak Sandwiches with Chimichurri Sauce for those casual get-togethers to Chicken Saltimbocca with a rich buttery sauce for more intimate gatherings. Reimagine the possibilities. Young Chefs Academy - Seminole, November 19 & 20, 12pm-3pm, ages 8 & up, $100. Register.
