Friday, April 26th


Open Gym at Bayside Sports Academy

Open Gym is open to children ages 6 & under every Friday. $6/child. 9:00-11:00am.

Terrific Tots at Great Explorations

This members-only program is offered when school is in session for children ages 1-3 and a caregiver. Join the museum for songs and movement, story time, an art or craft exploration and community time for tots and their adults! 9:30-10:00am.

Toddler Early Literacy Program at St. Petersburg Main Library

Join the library for story time featuring movement, music and fun with rhymes, stories, and puppets! For children ages 1 - 3 with a caregiver. 10:15am and 11:00am.

Preschool Story Time at Gulf Beaches Public Library

Join Gulf Beaches Public Library for songs, stories and crafts with a rain theme. 10:30am.

Master Builders at Barbara S. Ponce Public Library

Put your engineering skills to the test every Friday! Build with LEGO bricks, KEVA planks and other fun materials. No registration required; grades K & up. 3:30-4:30pm.


Kid's Night Out at Romp N' Roll

Kid's Night Out is offered EVERY Friday night at Romp N' Roll! Drop off kids ages 2 to 5 for activities in the gym, arts & crafts, and pizza. $25/members, $30/non-members. 6:00-9:00pm.

St. Pete Shuffle at St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club

Friday nights are free and open to the public at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club! Bring your own food and beverages and enjoy the courts. 7:00-10:00pm.


"The Stars of Spring" at SPC Planetarium & Observatory

Explore the stars without trekking far from home, for a price that's out of this world: Free. The planetarium offers two free public shows on Friday nights. Shows are hosted by resident astronomer Dr. Craig Joseph and feature live narration with images displayed by computer-controlled projectors. Ages 5+. 7:00pm & 8:15pm.

Saturday, April 27th


Discover a world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics at the 6th Annual Pinellas County Schools STEM Expo. The event will showcase projects by more than 4,600 students from 98 schools. The keynote speaker is Chris Fischer, founder and expedition leader of the shark research organization, OCEARCH. 9:00am-1:00pm.

Saturday Morning Market at Al Lang Stadium

This lively and huge outdoor market is open from October to May in the parking lot of Al Lang Stadium. Live music, a variety of vendors and a strong sense of community make this market the heart of St. Pete. 9:00am-2:00pm.


Green Thumb Festival at Walter Fuller Park

Celebrate Arbor Day at St. Petersburg's annual Green Thumb Festival! The festival includes environmental and horticultural exhibits and vendors, diagnostic soil and water sample clinic, recycling rally, free mulch, $5 trees for sale, free butterfly plants, tool sharpening booth, entertainment, children's programs, garden wagon parade, food court, and more! FREE ADMISSION! 9:00am-4:00pm.

Sky Zone will have double the characters, double the friends, and double the FUN! Both PJ Masks and Paw Patrol characters will be Jumping. Mention their Facebook ad to receive buy one get one free child admission. Accompanying adults are FREE! Just $14! 9:30-11:00am.


Paint with Paw Patrol at Practically Pikasso

$28 per painter (includes one adult) includes a dog pottery figurine to paint, snack and fun activities with your favorite Paw Patrol characters. Practically Pikasso is partnering with Friends of Strays for this event. A portion of your ticket will be donated to support their animal rescue efforts. Limited space, advance registration required. 10:00-11:30am.


YMCA Healthy Kids Day at Jim & Heather Gills YMCA

Open to the Community -- come enjoy bounce houses, face painting, games, sports, arts & crafts, and STEM activities. Join in the fun Kid Triathlon as well (registration is required for this one but again FREE and open to the community). 10:00am-1:00pm.

Saturdays @ the Morean is a free family drop-in art studio hosted by the Morean Arts Center. 10:00am-3:30pm.


Anniversary Weekend at the James Museum

Come celebrate the James Museum’s first anniversary with a weekend full of festivities! Visit during the day on Saturday and Sunday for talks by renowned Western and wildlife artists, a Native American hoop dance performance, gallery tours and family art activities. Included with membership or admission. 10:00am-5:00pm.

Gulfport Springfest at Clymer Park

Gulfport Springfest is a “Garden, Art and Faerie Festival” with free admission and for all ages. Clymer Park transforms into an “enchanted village” inhabited by costumed faeries, sprites, gnomes, ogres and trolls. Renaissance-era characters, gypsies, minstrels, wizards and roving entertainers in costume stroll through the event. 10:00am-5:00pm.

Drag Queen Story Hour at Community Cafe

Join Community Cafe for story telling with Drag Queen Story Hour and stay for delicious vegan food. 11:00am-12:00pm.


Little Surrealists Tour at The Dali Museum

Kids ages 4-11 are invited to bring their families on a special 1-hour museum tour. Free with museum admission. 11:00am-12:00pm.

Storytime at Barnes & Noble

Join Barnes & Noble for a storytime and activities featuring "What Do You Do With a Chance?" 11:00am-12:00pm.


IRB Beach Fest at Indian Rocks Beach

Come out and enjoy Beach Fest -- live local music, food and beverages, kids games (11am-4pm), adult games, and more! Free admission. 11:00am-9:00pm.


KidsLit!: Poetry in the Gardens at Woodson African American Museum

Cultured Books + The WORD! Initiative will host Poetry in the Gardens -- an afternoon of exploring social justice poetry. There will be poetry stations, storytime, and a stage where even the littlest poets will have a chance to perform their work! This event is a part of the 5th Annual SunLit Festival. 12:00-2:00pm.

Children ages 4-11 can discover the creative world of Dali through games, puzzles and arts + crafts activities which educate and encourage family interaction. Cost is free. 12:00-2:30pm.


Spring Crafts at Gulfport Public Library

If your child is in Grades K-5, then join Gulfport Public Library for an afternoon of colorful crafts to celebrate SPRING! They will make watercolor paintings, yarn butterflies, and bubble wands. 1:00-2:00pm.


Movies at the Royal

Enjoy a movie at the Historic Royal Theater located on the 22nd Street South corridor. The theater will be showing Akeelah and the Bee. $2 donations accepted. 2:00-4:30pm.


Movies in the Park at McDevitt Park

The Pinellas Park Firefighters would like to invite you, your family, and friends for a FREE outdoor movie: Oz the Great and Powerful. Bring a chair or blanket; food and drinks available for purchase. 7:00-10:00pm.

Tampa Bay Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium

See the Rowdies take on the Charlotte Independence at home! Kickoff is at 7:30pm.

Family Night Hike at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Join rangers for the preserve's most popular guided hike to explore the preserve after hours in a small group setting. Look for alligators, listen for bats and search for scorpions! $5/adult, $3/child. 8:00pm.

Family Yoga Class at Peace of Yoga

Kidding Around Yoga Classes with Desiree utilize yoga poses creatively tucked into partner yoga, games and activities, original music, stories and more. This yoga class is specifically designed for kids ages 2 & up. Donations accepted. 10:00am-11:00pm.

Corey Avenue Sunday Market at St. Pete Beach

This market hosts 70+ local vendors selling local and conventional produce, plants, herbs, raw honey, take home foods, artisan products, fresh baked goods, lunch bites, local art, hand crafts and more! Fun for all ages and dog-friendly. 10:00am-2:00pm.

Free for everyone! Bring your little artists to the MFA to enjoy 13 all-ages, hands-on art stations including the NOMAD Art Bus plus food trucks and beer from Green Bench Brewing Co. 12:00-4:00pm.

Sundays at the Morean Center for Clay

Sundays @ The Morean is a FREE family drop-in Clay Play Session hosted by the Morean Center for Clay. Clay, tools and working tables provided, please bring your imagination. This session is open to all families with children (not recommended for children under 3 years old). 1:00-3:00pm.
