Friday, December 21st

Open Gym at Bayside Sports Academy

Open Gym is open to children ages 6 & under every Friday. $6/child. 9:00-11:00am.

Terrific Tots at Great Explorations Children's Museum

This members-only program is offered when school is in session for children ages 1-3 and a caregiver. Join the museum for songs and movement, story time, an art or craft exploration and community time for tots and their adults! 9:30-10:00am.


Grand Opening & Open House at HR Trains & Toys

Join HR Trains & Toys for the launch of its new store and location! The event will feature an open house, local vendors and a visit from Santa from 12-3pm. 10:00am-3:00pm.


Create an adorable display plate with your little one's fingers! Personalized hand lettered name available for an additional $3. This is a Premium Craft and is half price for members. If you are not a member, it is the day pass plus an additional $3 for supplies per child. 10:30-11:30am.


Preschool Story Time at Gulf Beaches Public Library

Preschool-aged children can enjoy songs, stories and crafts with a giving and Christmas theme! 10:30am.


'Tis the season to give back! Join Growing Up and Sunshine City Kids for a holiday volunteer opportunity for even the littlest helpers on Friday, December 21st and Saturday, December 22nd! Your family can help by donating individually packaged snacks and paper products to Growing Up or by registering your family for a time to volunteer to decorate and fill snack bags. 11:30am-1:00pm.

Crafty Kids at Seminole Community Library

There is always something new going on at Crafty Kids. Whether it's crafts, science experiments, cooking, games, or stories, kids in grades K-5 always have fun and make new friends! 4:00-5:00pm.

Santa Visits Childs Park Community Library

Join Childs Park Community Library for music, stories a visit from Santa. Each child who visits Santa will get a free book! 4:15-5:00pm.

Letters to Santa with Santa Cow at Chic-fil-A Fourth Street North

Come by Chic-fil-A Fourth Street North for dinner with your little ones so they can write their letter to Santa! Santa Cow will be making appearances throughout the evening. No tickets necessary, activity included with the price of your meal! 5:00-8:00pm.

Movie Night at St. Petersburg Municipal Beach

St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation's Aquatics Division is hosting a movie night at the beach featuring "The Santa Clause". Enjoy fun in the sand with your friends and family at the St. Petersburg Municipal Treasure Island Beach. Movie starts at dark. Admission is FREE, concessions available. 5:00-9:00pm.

St. Pete Shuffle at St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club

Friday nights are free and open to the public at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club! Bring your own food and beverages and enjoy the courts. 7:00-10:00pm.


Family Blanket Fort Night at Gulfport Public Library

Bring the kids and some old sheets to Gulfport Public Library's 5th Annual “Blanket Fort Night" where you can build your own blanket fort and watch a family holiday movie. Feel free to wear your best holiday pajamas! Popcorn provided. 7:00-9:00pm.


St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation is excited to bring you Holiday Movies in the Park with "Santa Buddies: The Legend of Santa Paws" playing at Vinoy Park. Admission is free and open to the public. 7:00-10:00pm.


Saturday, December 22nd


Saturday Morning Market at Al Lang Stadium

This lively and huge outdoor market is open from October to May in the parking lot of Al Lang Stadium. Live music, a variety of vendors and a strong sense of community make this market the heart of St. Pete. 9:00am-2:00pm.

Toddlerdega at Pro Karting Experience

This event is for mini drivers ages 2 to 6 or Power Wheel size drivers. Pro Karting Experience supplies the race track, you supply the driver and the vehicle. $5 Pit Pass per driver; $20 for Power Wheel rental/Pit Pass. 9:00-11:00am.

Join Sky Zone Clearwater for a spectacular Frozen themed party! Enjoy a light breakfast, holiday crafts, and character jump time with special guests Olaf and Elsa! Parents & Grandparents are FREE! Tickets are $14. 9:30-11:00am.

Saturdays @ the Morean is a free family drop-in art studio hosted by the Morean Arts Center. 10:00am-3:30pm.


Parents Shop/Kids Create at the Morean Arts Center

Need some time to shop? Leave your kids with the Morean Arts Center for a few hours. They’ll participate in art activities in a camp/classroom environment. Ages 5 & up. $25 per child. 10:00am-3:00pm.


Snow Blast at Tyrone Square

SNOW in St. Petersburg! Snow Blast is a winter family festival for all ages featuring the latest in snow-making technology to provide a true snow experience! Reserve your time today! 10:00am-8:00pm.

Sensory Friendly Film at Cobb Tyrone

Sensory friendly showings provide families with varying abilities the opportunity to enjoy a family film where kids can be kids in a safe and accepting environment. The auditoriums are made more comfortable by brighter lights and the sound level turned down. The audience is encouraged to be themselves and interact with the movie while having fun. 10:00am.


Introducing Jungle Gym's first ever Parent/Student Open Gym! Jungle Gym is all about family and this is a great way to bond with your child. Ages 6 to 12, $25 per parent/child combo. 10:00-11:30am.

Little Surrealists Tour at The Dali Museum Kids ages 4-11 are invited to bring their families on a special 1-hour Museum tour. Free with museum admission. 11:00am-12:00pm.

Children ages 4-11 can discover the creative world of Dali through games, puzzles and arts + crafts activities which educate and encourage family interaction. Cost is free. 12:00-2:30pm.

Santa Claus Comes to Indian Shores

Gather up your little ones and bring them to Caddy's Pub Indian Shores for their last chance to tell Old St. Nick their wishes for this holiday season before he heads back to the North Pole! 12:00-2:00pm.

Holiday Block Party at Beans & Barlour

Beans & Barlour will be hosting its first annual Holiday Block Party! Join them for live entertainment, activities for all ages, and of course all of the boozy creations. 1:00-4:00pm.

Santa Reads the Polar Express at HR Trains & Toys

Join HR Trains & Toys at their new location to hear Santa read the Polar Express! Arrive by 5:30pm to find a spot to sit-- blankets are recommended and PJs are encouraged. There will be photo ops after the reading. 5:30-8:00pm.

Light Up the Night with The Body Electric Yoga Company! This Winter Solstice celebration for families will explore light and where it comes from while families can build lanterns from recycled materials to use on a holiday stroll through the BE neighborhood. For children ages 2+, $25/first child, $10/additional. 6:00-7:30pm.


Family Night Hike at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Join preserve rangers for this popular guided hike. Explore the preserve after hours in a small group setting. Look for alligators, listen for bats and search for scorpions! $5/adult, $3/child. 6:00pm.


Sunday, December 23rd

Corey Avenue Sunday Market at St. Pete Beach

This market hosts 70+ local vendors selling local and conventional produce, plants, herbs, raw honey, take home foods, artisan products, fresh baked goods, lunch bites, local art, crafts and more! Fun for all ages and dog-friendly. 10:00am-2:00pm.

Winnie the Pooh at American Stage

Join American Stage for a special performance of the 2018 School Tour production of Winnie the Pooh! Meet & greet + photo-op with Pooh & friends following the performance! 11:00am-12:00pm.

Sundays at the Morean Center for Clay

Sundays @ The Morean is a free family drop-in clay play session hosted by the Morean Center for Clay. Clay, tools and working tables provided, please bring your imagination. This session is open to all families with children ages 3 & up. 1:00-3:00pm.
