Let us do all of the research so you don't have to! Here's our roundup of family-friendly events and things to do with kids in St. Petersburg for January 4th to 6th.


Friday, January 4th


First Friday Free Baby Boot Camp Class at Sundial Join Baby Boot Camp St Pete at the Sundial every First Friday for a FREE class open to all moms. Please register in advance and fill out the waiver at www.BabyBootCamp.com. 9:30-10:30am.


Keeping in the winter spirit, join Growing Up to make melted snowmen paintings! Since winter is short for us Floridians this is perfect for the little ones ages toddler+ . This activity is included with the price of membership or a Playspace day pass. 10:30-11:30am.

Preschool Story Time at Gulf Beaches Public Library

Preschool-aged children can enjoy songs, stories and crafts with a snowman/winter theme! 10:30am.

Winter Brain Games at Largo Public Library

Beat the winter break boredom by joining Largo Public Library for brain teasers, board games, and many more mind-stimulating activities for kids ages 5 to 12. 2:00-4:00pm.

Kids Night Out at Romp n' Roll

Looking for a reliable date night sitter? Join Romp n' Roll every Friday night for Kids Night Out. Each week will feature a different theme and children will get the chance to enjoy a pizza party, gym activities, bounce house and more! For children ages 2 to 5; $25 for members and $30 for non-members. 6:00-9:00pm.

St. Pete Shuffle at St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club

Friday nights are free and open to the public at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club! Bring your own food and beverages and enjoy the courts. 7:00-10:00pm.

SPAS Navigating Nature Camp at Boyd Hill Environmental Center

Navigating Nature, sponsored by the St. Petersburg Audubon Society, is a free camp for kids in grades 4 through 8. Campers are given the opportunity to experience nature up-close-and-personal through a variety of activities including nature walks, animal encounters, crafts, and hands-on science. 8:30-11:30am.


Saturday Morning Market at Al Lang Stadium

This lively and huge outdoor market is open from October to May in the parking lot of Al Lang Stadium. Live music, a variety of vendors and a strong sense of community make this market the heart of St. Pete. 9:00am-2:00pm.

Kids Workshop at The Home Depot

Pique your child’s visual arts interests with The Home Depot's free hands-on workshop where you and your child can build an easel. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. 9:00am-12:00pm.

Largo Central Railroad at Largo Central Park

Join Largo Central Railroad for a ride around beautiful Largo Central Park on the miniature railroad.  The accurately modeled scale locomotives pull you and your family along a mile long loop through great scenery, the spooky tunnel and a waterfall pond.  Fun for all ages! 10:00am-4:00pm.

Saturdays @ the Morean is a free family drop-in art studio hosted by the Morean Arts Center. 10:00am-3:30pm.

Open Tree Climb at Pathfinder Outdoor Education

Pathfinder's trained facilitators take you through a brief ground school and then you can climb at your own pace into the canopy of a gorgeous live oak. Anyone ages 6 and up can climb - it's not just for kids! And it's FREE for every climber. 10:00am-3:00pm.

Snow Blast at Tyrone Square

SNOW in St. Petersburg! Snow Blast is a winter family festival for all ages featuring the latest in snow-making technology to provide a true snow experience! Reserve your time today! 10:00am-8:00pm.


Little Surrealists Tour at The Dali Museum

Kids ages 4-11 are invited to bring their families on a special 1-hour Museum tour. Free with museum admission. 11:00am-12:00pm.


Children's Book Reading & Signing at Craftsman House Gallery

Join Craftsman House Gallery for a special reading of "The Little Lost Llama" with Illustrator Tracy DuCharme and Keep St. Pete Lit. Tracy DuCharme travels from Colorado to show her beautiful illustrations and tell the story of "The Little Lost Llama". Children will have the opportunity to glue real llama fur on a paper llama. 11:00am-12:15pm.


Make & Take Saturday at the Museum of Fine Arts

Kids ages 5 & up can create their own masterpiece inspired by works in the collection and special exhibitions. Free with museum admission. 11:00am-2:00pm.


Open House at Pinellas Pioneer Settlement

Come visit a hidden gem of St Pete! Explore the Endicott House to see how settlers lived and the General Store in the Brantley Building, the oldest wooden building in St Petersburg. Enjoy a visit to the Blacksmith, Print Shop and Sawmill as well. Admission and parking are both free. 11:00am-2:00pm.

Storytime at Barnes & Noble

Join Barnes & Noble for a storytime and activities featuring "Clifford the Big Red Dog." 11:00am.

St. Pete Indie Flea at Green Bench Brewing Co.

Join Indie Flea for their January Street Market at Green Bench Brewing Co! You will find 100+ artisans and vendors, food trucks, mobile shops, guest Dj +more! Family and pet-friendly! 12:00-4:00pm.


New Year Concert at NoiseMakers

Noisemakers' students and bands will start the new year off with a great show at Noisemakers. Come rock out, meet the teachers, and sign up for lessons. Potluck plus NuMex is next door. Bring friends or make new ones. 12:00-5:00pm.


Sunday, January 6th


Sensory Sensitive Sunday at Chuck E. Cheese's

Chuck E. Cheese's offers a sensory-friendly experience on the first Sunday of every month, opening stores two hours before normal opening time. Sensory Sensory events include a trained and caring staff that work to ensure each guest has a fun-filled visit. 9:00-11:00am.

Family Yoga Class at Peace of Yoga

Kidding Around Yoga Classes with Desiree utilize yoga poses creatively tucked into partner yoga, games and activities, original music, stories and more. This yoga class is specifically designed for kids ages 2 & up. Donations accepted. 11:30am-12:30pm.

Sundays at the Morean Center for Clay

Sundays @ The Morean is a free family drop-in clay play session hosted by the Morean Center for Clay. Clay, tools and working tables provided, please bring your imagination. This session is open to all families with children ages 3 & up. 1:00-3:00pm.

SPARK Lab at St. Petersburg Main Library

Create & learn with activities for children in 3rd - 5th grade that focus on S.T.R.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math). 2:30-3:30pm.
