Friday, November 8th


Open Gym at Bayside Sports Academy

Open Gym is open to children ages 6 & under every Friday. $8/child. 9:00-11:00am.


Terrific Tots at Great Explorations Children's Museum

On Wednesday and Friday mornings while Pinellas County Schools are in and before the museum opens to the public, members are invited to join Great Ex for songs, movement, art and story time in Great Beginnings at the museum! Terrific Tots is a unique bonding experience for children ages 1-3 and their caregivers. 9:30-10:00am.


Preschool Art at Largo Community Center

Preschool Art is a monthly drop-in art program for kids ages 5 & under. Cost is $5/members and $10/non-members. 9:30-10:30am.


Babytime at Gulfport Public Library

If you have little ones under 2 years old, please join Gulfport Public Library for Babytime. There will be songs, books, lap bounce rhymes, and the opportunity to meet other caregivers with infants and young toddlers. Older siblings are also welcome. 10:00-10:30am.


Toddler Early Literacy Program at St. Petersburg Main Library

Come join the main library for storytime featuring movement, music, and fun with rhymes, stories, and puppets! For children ages 1 - 3 with a caregiver. 10:15am & 11:00am.


Designed to support parents and caregivers of infants 0-24 months, this all-levels vinyasa flow will refresh and recharge your guardian batteries while modeling healthy movement and mindful breathing to your mini. There's space for diapering, breast or bottle feeding, napping, crying, and anything else your kiddo may need during class. Cost is $15 per duo; preregistration required. 11:00am-12:00pm.


St. Raphael Fall Festival at St. Raphael's Catholic School

For over 10 years, friends and family gather for great fun and treats at this beautiful waterfront fairground! Come by this Friday through Sunday for great food, awesome rides, live music, Bingo & other games, and so much more. Tickets are $1/each or unlimited rides wristbands are available for $40 at the festival. 12:00-11:00pm.


Master Builders at Barbara S. Ponce Public Library

Grades K and up can put their engineering skills to the test! Build with LEGO® bricks, KEVA® planks, and other fun materials. 3:30-4:30pm.


S.T.R.E.A.M. Club at Childs Park Library

Explore Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math at Childs Park Library's S.T.R.E.A.M. Club. Join in for hands-on science experiments, coding, stories, and more!

For children grades 3 - 5. 4:15-5:00pm.


Kenneth City Fall Carnival in Kenneth City

This midway festival presented by Dreamland Amusements takes place Thursday, Nov. 7 - Sunday, Nov. 10. in the Kmart parking lot at 66th St. N and 46th Ave. N. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $30 every day at the box office; individual tickets also available.


Movies in the Park at Largo Central Park

Gather up the family, grab your blankets and join Largo Rec for a movie on the big screen in beautiful Largo Central Park. Free on-site parking available. Food and beverages are available for sale, including smores and hot dogs that you can make in the fire pit. Toy Story 4 begins at dusk. 6:00-8:30pm.


Kid's Night Out at Romp N Roll

Treat your kids ages 2 to 5 and yourself to a fun night out! Parents get an evening to themselves while the children get to run, play, dance, and have fun with energetic instructors. A pizza party dinner and bubble dance party are included. Children do not need to be potty-trained. $25/member, $30/non-member (sibling discount available). 6:00-9:00pm.


Parents Night Out/Friday Night Fun at Highland Recreation Complex

Kids will have a blast playing fun games throughout the facility including the gym, PlayWorld, and the game room. The snack shop will be open for purchases. Younger children are offered separate activities in the preschool room and must be potty trained. Cost: HC $70/$140 per season, Drop-in fee: $7/$14. 6:30-9:30pm.


Friday Night Shuffle at St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club

Friday nights are free and open to the public at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club! Bring your own food and beverages and enjoy the courts. 7:00-10:00pm.


"Legends of the Fall" at SPC Planetarium and Observatory

Explore the stars without trekking far from home, for a price that's out of this world: Free. The planetarium offers two free public shows on Friday nights at 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. when the college is in session. Shows are hosted by resident astronomer Dr. Craig Joseph and feature live narration with images displayed by computer-controlled projectors. Children are welcome as long as they are ages 5 & up. 7:00pm & 8:15pm.


Saturday, November 9th


5K Fun Run with Healthy St. Pete at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Practice healthy habits while making new friends! All levels welcome. Meet at the flag pole in front of the nature center. Cost is free; all ages. 9:00am.


Weedon Walkabout at Weedon Island Preserve

Join in for a guided hike through the mangrove and upland ecosystems of Weedon Island Preserve. Learn about the coastal environment, native wildlife, and early history of the Preserve. This hike may be up to 2 miles (round trip). All ages are welcome but children younger than 6 years old may find this hike challenging. 9:00-11:00am.


Saturday Morning Market at Al Lang Stadium

St. Petersburg's Saturday Morning Market is back for fall! This market is an extraordinary ode to great food, creative expression, and our wonderfully vibrant community. Come see what happens when you combine a Farmers Market, a Craft Fair, and a Festival into an amazing weekly gathering. 9:00am-2:00pm.


Join Sky Zone for the ultimate Toddler Time! Meet, greet, and jump with the PJ Masks, Poppy, and Peppa! Cost is $18 per child with free accompanying adults. 9:30-11:00am.


Family Day: No Bones About It at The James Museum

How many bones can you find hidden in the artwork? How were bones used by Native Americans in the past? Craft a work of art inspired by what you find. Family Day features storytime, a kid-friendly tour, and an artmaking workshop for kids ages 3–10. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited; reservations recommended. Included with admission; free for members. 9:30am-12:30pm.


Largo Police Family Safety Day at Largo Police Station

You're invited to the annual Largo Police Department Family Safety Day! There will be displays for safety subjects like Medicine/Poison safety, Firearm Safety, and Car Seat safety, in addition to free bike helmet fittings, a bicycle safety rodeo (once completed the child can enter for a chance to win a free bicycle), Kona Ice, face painting, child fingerprinting, and an inflatable obstacle course. There will also be Tactical Apprehension and Control Team, Traffic Safety, and the Special Incident Response Team demos along with police department tours. 10:00am-2:00pm.


Family Fun Day at Pinellas Pioneer Settlement

Come out to the Pinellas Pioneer Settlement for Family Fun Day! There will be games, crafts, and fun activities for all to enjoy. $1 hayrides and concessions are available. Free admission. 10:00am-3:00pm.


Saturdays at the Morean Arts Center

Saturdays @ the Morean is a free family drop-in art studio hosted by the Morean Arts Center. Art activities are geared toward children ages 5 to 10. 10:00am-12:30pm & 1:00-3:30pm.


Tampa Bay area's largest annual book and author event is back for its 27th year! This is a FREE event showcasing authors, booksellers, and exhibitors. Come enjoy the day with outdoor book talks, book signings, book market, food trucks, and exhibits on the beautiful USF St. Petersburg Campus. Admission and parking are free. Current authors include Dave Barry, Meg Cabot, and R.L. Stine. 10:00am-5:00pm.


How to Catch a Turkey at Practically Pikasso

Bring your pint-size painter to learn How To Catch A Turkey, followed by pottery painting. Choose from a coloring book-style Turkey Tile or create a Handprint Turkey Dessert Plate using your child's hand. Cost is $14 per painter for theTurkey Tile or $16 per painter for the Turkey Plate. Suitable for all ages. 10:15-11:15am.


Wild for Wildflowers at Sunken Gardens

Kids can make wildflower seed balls to attract birds, butterflies, and other pollinators to your yard. Just throw and watch them grow! Round out the fun with a scavenger hunt through the butterfly garden. Recommended for ages 4+. Pre-registration via payment is required due to limited space. Cost is $10/child for non-members or $5/child for members. Adult admission required. 10:30-11:30am.


Alligator Walk at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Learn about the American alligator, Florida’s state reptile, which calls our wetlands home on this all-ages, ranger-guided hike. $3/adult, $1.50/child. 11:00am.


Little Surrealists Tour at The Dali Museum

Kids ages 4-11 are invited to bring their families on a special 1-hour Museum tour. Free with museum admission. 11:00am-12:00pm.


Reading Fun at St. Petersburg Main Library

Join the St. Petersburg Main Library for stories, music, and a cool craft for grades K-2. 11:00am-12:00pm.


Storytime at Barnes & Noble

Join Barnes & Noble for a storytime and activities featuring "The Monster at the End of This Book." 11:00am-12:00pm.


Creative Clay Fest at Creative Clay

Creative Clay Fest (formerly Folkfest St. Pete) is a celebration of original art and live music. This amazing festival is now in its 13th year. Hosted by Creative Clay, the festival was created to draw good folks to the mission of Creative Clay and to raise funds to support this community-minded arts center for people with disabilities. Come see and/or purchase folk art from folk artists around the southeast and meet the folk artists of Creative Clay. This year Creative Clay will feature not only prominent regional folk artists but also local artists. 11:00am-8:00pm.


Children ages 4-11 can discover the creative world of Dali through games, puzzles and arts + crafts activities that educate and encourage family interaction. Cost is free. 12:00-2:30pm.


Fall Crafts at Gulfport Public Library

If your child is in grades K-5, join Gulfport Public Library for fall-inspired crafts to warm your home and your heart! They'll make an adorable hedgehog, leaf sun-catchers, and colorful fall trees. 2:00-3:00pm.


Creature Feature at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Live animal encounter! Learn interesting facts about a program animal featured at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve every Saturday and Sunday. 2:30pm.


The Central Arts District, EDGE District, Grand Central District, Warehouse Arts District and downtown Waterfront District unite for the St. Petersburg Second Saturday ArtWalk. Studios and galleries stay open late to welcome visitors from 5-9 pm. Many ArtWalk studios/galleries celebrate the opening of brand new exhibitions during ArtWalk. Discover wonderful surprises, visit your favorite artist or find a new one. The Downtown Looper Trolley is now part of ArtWalk on Second Saturdays taking visitors to all of the galleries in the Waterfront District with stops every 15 minutes. 5:00-9:00pm.


Kids Art & Yoga Mini-Camp at Peace of Yoga

Whether you are enjoying an evening out for ArtWalk, a good movie, or a long dinner, Peace of Yoga is offering a 3-hour mini-camp for parents to have a night out, guilt-free! Meanwhile, your kids will be engaged by activities promoting mindfulness, peace, and compassion using breathing techniques, Yoga postures, and meditation to help manage daily stressors and big emotions. A light snack and take-home craft are included. For ages 6 to 12; $35/child, $25/sibling. 6:00-9:00pm.

Aviary Tour: Red-Tailed Hawk at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Get a behind-the-scenes look! See how Boyd Hill runs the Birds of Prey program and have an up-close encounter with the bird of the month. $3/adult, $1.50/child. 10:00am.


Family Yoga Class at Peace of Yoga

Kidding Around Yoga Classes with Desiree utilize yoga poses creatively tucked into partner yoga, games and activities, original music, stories and more. This yoga class is specifically designed for kids (2 and older), but moms, dads, grandparents and other caregivers are welcome! Donations accepted. 10:00-11:00am.


Great Connections at Great Explorations Children's Museum

Great Explorations Children’s Museum will open early for children with special needs and their families to enjoy Great Connections, a sensory-friendly event. Great Explorations will close to the public, offer discounted admission, and provide a “cool down” room for families who need to take a break. Cost is $5/person or free for members. 10:00am-12:00pm.


Corey Avenue Sunday Market at St. Pete Beach

Find this market located on Corey Avenue in St. Pete Beach. This market hosts 70+ local vendors selling local and conventional produce, plants, herbs, raw honey, take home foods, artisan products, fresh baked goods, lunch bites, local art, handcrafts and more! Fun for all ages and dog-friendly. 10:00am-2:00pm.


Baby & Me Storytime at Barnes & Noble

Baby & Me Storytime is for caregivers and children 0-24 months old. Join in to read a book and participate in activities featuring sensory growth for your little ones. 11:00am.


Join makeme to create your own gratitude garland and fall leaf bowls! The garland is composed of scrappy fall fabrics and includes space for you and yours to pen things they’re grateful during this fall season. The bowls are made with air dry and pressed leaves and are perfectly sized for a jewelry catch-all, tea light, or other little trinkets. Admission price of $30 includes materials for two participants (adult and child); $10/additional person. 1:00-3:00pm.


Sundays at the Morean Center for Clay

Sundays @ The Morean is a free family drop-in Clay Play Session hosted by the Morean Center for Clay. Clay, tools and working tables provided, please bring your imagination. This session is open to all families with children (not recommended for children under 3 years old). 1:00-3:00pm.


Chess Club at Barbara S. Ponce Public Library

Does your K-12 grader enjoy playing chess? Are they interested in learning the game? If so, join the library for Chess Club to learn the game or put their skills to the test! This program is run by teen volunteers. Registration required. Stop by or call Youth Services at 727-369-0664 to register. 1:30-2:30pm.

Sip N Sing at Cage Brewing

Sip N Sing with Music & Me is a kid-friendly, old-style sing-a-long open to the community. Bring your family, friends, and voices while participants connect musically and enjoy the fine craft selections at Cage Brewing. This is a FREE event, other than your beer, of course. 5:00-6:00pm.


Neighborhood Shuffle Showdown at St. Pete Shuffle

Residents from 15 participating neighborhoods will compete to become 2019 “Showdown” champions at this second annual event. There will be shuffleboard, a food truck, music, prizes, and lots of fun. EVERYONE can play! 5:00-9:00pm.
