Friday, October 11th


Open Gym at Bayside Sports Academy

Open Gym is open to children ages 6 & under every Friday. $8/child. 9:00-11:00am.


Babytime at Gulfport Public Library

If you have little ones under 2 years old, please join Gulfport Public Library for Babytime. There will be songs, books, lap bounce rhymes, and the opportunity to meet other caregivers with infants and young toddlers. Older siblings are also welcome. 10:00-10:30am.

Shop the Rhea Lana's Half-Price Sale! The sale is open to the public beginning this Friday. Many items will be priced at 50% off. 10:00am-7:00pm.


Toddler Early Literacy Program at St. Petersburg Main Library

Come join the main library for story time featuring movement, music and fun with rhymes, stories, and puppets! For children ages 1 - 3 with a caregiver. 10:15am & 11:00am.

Preschool Story Time at Gulf Beaches Public Library

Join Gulf Beaches Public Library for songs, stories, and crafts with an "Apples and Pumpkins" theme. 10:30am.


Master Builders at Barbara S. Ponce Public Library

Grades K and up can put their engineering skills to the test! Build with LEGO® bricks, KEVA® planks, and other fun materials. 3:30-4:30pm.


S.T.R.E.A.M. Club at Childs Park Library

Explore Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math at Childs Park Library's S.T.R.E.A.M. Club. Join in for hands-on science experiments, coding, stories, and more!

For children grades 3 - 5. 4:15-5:00pm.


Kid's Night Out at Romp N Roll

Treat your kids ages 2 to 5 and yourself to a fun night out! Parents get an evening to themselves while the children get to run, play, dance, and have fun with energetic instructors. A pizza party dinner and bubble dance party are included. Children do not need to be potty-trained. $25/member, $30/non-member (sibling discount available). 6:00-9:00pm.


Parents Night Out/Friday Night Fun at Highland Recreation Complex

Kids will have a blast playing fun games throughout the facility including the gym, PlayWorld, and the game room. The snack shop will be open for purchases. Younger children are offered separate activities in the preschool room and must be potty trained. Cost: HC $70/$140 per season, Drop-in fee: $7/$14. 6:30-9:30pm.


Music in the Park at Seminole City Park

Meet at Seminole City Park for the 23rd year of this music series running six weeks during September and October. Free concert, free parking. Food and beverage available for purchase. 7:00-9:00pm.

Join St. Pete Beach Community Center each Friday in October for a night full of fun, food, and free live music! Dance the night away to some of your favorite local bands. 7:00-9:00pm.


Friday Night Shuffle at St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club

Friday nights are free and open to the public at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club! Bring your own food and beverages and enjoy the courts. 7:00-10:00pm.

"Legends of the Fall" at SPC Planetarium and Observatory

Each Friday in October, St. Petersburg College’s Planetarium and Observatory disguises itself as the “Haunted Planetarium.” Here, learn all about the Greek myth and lore playing out in the autumn skies, but watch out for ghosts, ghouls, zombies, and other creatures of the night. Parents, this one can get a little scary. The suggested minimum age is 7. 7:00pm & 8:15pm.


Saturday, October 12th


5K Fun Run with Healthy St. Pete at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Practice healthy habits while making new friends! All levels welcome. Meet at the flag pole in front of the nature center. Cost is free; all ages. 9:00am.


Weedon Walkabout at Weedon Island Preserve

Join in for a guided hike through the mangrove and upland ecosystems of Weedon Island Preserve. Learn about the coastal environment, native wildlife, and early history of the Preserve. This hike may be up to 2 miles (round trip). All ages are welcome but children younger than 6 years old may find this hike challenging. 9:00-11:00am.

Saturday Morning Market at Al Lang Stadium

St. Petersburg's Saturday Morning Market is back for fall! This market is an extraordinary ode to great food, creative expression, and our wonderfully vibrant community. Come see what happens when you combine a Farmers Market, a Craft Fair, and a Festival into an amazing weekly gathering. 9:00am-2:00pm.


Jump for a great cause! Sky Zone will donate a portion of all sales to support finding a cure for breast cancer! Meet, greet, and jump with Skye, Poppy, and Peppa! Cost is $18 per child with free accompanying adults. 9:30-11:00am.


Free Kids Yoga Class at Kenwood's Organic Produce

Join Kenwood's Organic Produce for a free 6 & under yoga class with Kidding Around Yoga Instructor Leah Buttery! Parents/caregivers are required to be present and are welcome to join in. Please bring mats if possible. Don't forget to bring your grocery bags and pick up some awesome fruits and veggies while you're there. 10:00-11:00am.


SPFR Block Party at Fossil Park

You're invited to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue's 30th Annual Block Party! The event includes a Fire & Rescue apparatus showcase, live burn demonstration, SPPD K9 demos, lifeline helicopter landing, bounce house, free food and drinks, face painting, and more. 10:00am-2:00pm.


Autumn Harvest Festival at Pinellas Pioneer Settlement

Celebrate the fall season and pioneer traditions at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve’s annual Autumn Harvest Festival! The event includes hayrides, crafts, games, live music, food trucks, pie-eating contest, and more. Admission is free; activity tickets are available for purchase. 10:00am-3:00pm.


Saturdays at the Morean Arts Center

Saturdays @ the Morean is a free family drop-in art studio hosted by the Morean Arts Center. Art activities are geared toward children ages 5 to 10. 10:00am-12:30pm & 1:00-3:30pm.


Kids Music Day at Bananas Records

Celebrate the 4th Annual Kids Music Day at Bananas Records! The event will include an instrument petting zoo, preschool puppet performances by Miss Toni & the Macaroni Band, and musical games and performances by DJ Steveo and DJ Simon Says. 10:00am-4:00pm.


This site-specific installation full of dried, exotic insects and inspired by Aesop's Fables opens this Saturday at the Museum of Fine Arts in downtown St. Petersburg. Join artist Jennifer Angus in the Hough Wing at 2pm for an intimate discussion on the process of her work. 10:00am-5:00pm.

Kids can encounter carnivorous, spooky, and appalling plants on a scavenger hunt through the Gardens. Don’t leave without getting your hands on slithering worms as you make your own tiny take-home worm compost jar. Recommended for children ages 4 and up. Pre-registration via payment is required due to limited space. Cost is $10/child for non-members or $5/child for members. Adult admission required. 10:30-11:30am.


Parents Day Off at Seminole Recreation Department

Superheroes are welcome to this Parents Day Off with Seminole Recreation Department. Register your kids in grades K-5 for this new program. $30/members, $45/non-members. 10:30am-3:30pm.

Alligator Walk at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Learn about the American alligator, Florida’s state reptile, which calls our wetlands home on this all-ages, ranger-guided hike. $3/adult, $1.50/child. 11:00am.


Little Surrealists Tour at The Dali Museum

Kids ages 4-11 are invited to bring their families on a special 1-hour Museum tour. Free with museum admission. 11:00am-12:00pm.


Storytime at Barnes & Noble

Join Barnes & Noble for a storytime and activities featuring "Elbow Grease vs. Motozilla." 11:00am-12:00pm.


Children ages 4-11 can discover the creative world of Dali through games, puzzles and arts + crafts activities that educate and encourage family interaction. Cost is free. 12:00-2:30pm.


Creepy Crafts at Gulfport Public Library

Join Gulfport Public Library for creepy crafts to celebrate October! Wear a costume, do some crafts, and take home some tasty treats. 2:00-3:00pm.


Library Legos at Largo Public Library

Challenge yourself to create a new LEGO masterpiece every week. All materials are provided. Ages 5 to 12. 2:00-4:00pm.


Creature Feature at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Live animal encounter! Learn interesting facts about a program animal featured at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve every Saturday and Sunday. 2:30pm.


Party Under the Lights at Pass-a-Grille Beach

Party under the lights at Pass-a-Grille Beach with steel drums, live music, arts and crafts, drinks, and dancing in the streets. 4:00-10:00pm.


Tinkergarten at Crescent Lake Park

In each session of this fall series, Tinkergarten Leader, Elise Pickett, will facilitate a different expert-designed play lesson, welcoming children of various ages and needs to explore, problem-solve, communicate, collaborate, and create together. Registration required. 5:00-6:15pm.


The Central Arts District, EDGE District, Grand Central District, Warehouse Arts District and downtown Waterfront District unite for the St. Petersburg Second Saturday ArtWalk. Studios and galleries stay open late to welcome visitors from 5-9 pm. Many ArtWalk studios/galleries celebrate the opening of brand new exhibitions during ArtWalk. Discover wonderful surprises, visit your favorite artist or find a new one. The Downtown Looper Trolley is now part of ArtWalk on Second Saturdays taking visitors to all of the galleries in the Waterfront District with stops every 15 minutes. 5:00-9:00pm.


Pint Sized Pumpkin Party at Highland Recreation Complex

Enjoy games, snacks, and crafts during this fun-filled fall event! Come dressed in costume for a contest and parade. Preregistration is strongly recommended. Open to ages 6 & under. Cost is $8/child before 10/7, $10/child after 10/7. 5:30-6:30pm.


Tampa Bay Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium

Cheer on the Rowdies as they take on the Indy Eleven at home. 7:30pm.


Sunday, October 13th


Aviary Tour: American Kestrel at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Get a behind-the-scenes look! See how Boyd Hill runs the Birds of Prey program and have an up-close encounter with the bird of the month. $3/adult, $1.50/child. 10:00am.

Family Yoga Class at Peace of Yoga

Kidding Around Yoga Classes with Desiree utilize yoga poses creatively tucked into partner yoga, games and activities, original music, stories and more. This yoga class is specifically designed for kids (2 and older), but moms, dads, grandparents and other caregivers are welcome! Donations accepted. 10:00-11:00am.


Great Connections at Great Explorations Children's Museum

Great Explorations Children’s Museum will open early for children with special needs and their families to enjoy Great Connections, a sensory-friendly event. Great Explorations will close to the public, offer discounted admission, and provide a “cool down” room for families who need to take a break. Cost is $5/person or free for members. 10:00am-12:00pm.


Shuffle Open House at St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club

This free Open House is everything wonderful about the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club rolled into one fantastic event. There will be shuffleboard lessons, games for all ages, a scavenger hunt, and history tours. Need more? DJ Mega will be playing tunes. Those of you who are thinking about becoming a member - this is a great day to learn all about the club. Current members can get to know their beloved club even more. 10:00am-2:00pm.


Corey Avenue Sunday Market at St. Pete Beach

Find this market located on Corey Avenue in St. Pete Beach. This market hosts 70+ local vendors selling local and conventional produce, plants, herbs, raw honey, take home foods, artisan products, fresh baked goods, lunch bites, local art, handcrafts and more! Fun for all ages and dog-friendly. 10:00am-2:00pm.


Baby & Me Storytime at Barnes & Noble

Baby & Me Storytime is for caregivers and children 0-24 months old. Join in to read a book and participate in activities featuring sensory growth for your little ones. Plus, get a free Starbucks tall, hot or iced coffee (Café stores only). 11:00am.

Sundays at the Morean Center for Clay

Sundays @ The Morean is a free family drop-in Clay Play Session hosted by the Morean Center for Clay. Clay, tools and working tables provided, please bring your imagination. This session is open to all families with children (not recommended for children under 3 years old). 1:00-3:00pm.


Chess Club at Barbara S. Ponce Public Library

Does your K-12 grader enjoy playing chess? Are they interested in learning the game? If so, join the library for Chess Club to learn the game or put their skills to the test! This program is run by teen volunteers. Registration required. Stop by or call Youth Services at 727-369-0664 to register. 1:30-2:30pm.
