A list of family-friendly events in St. Petersburg, Florida.


The weekend before Halloween in St. Pete is here, and it is PACKED with fun events for everyone. From the littlest trick-or-treaters to the bigger thrill seekers, find something your whole family can enjoy in our Weekend Guide for October 26 to 28.


Friday, October 26th


Open Gym at Bayside Sports Academy

Open Gym is open to children ages 6 & under every Friday. $6/child. 9:00-11:00am.

Terrific Tots at Great Explorations Children's Museum

This members-only program is offered when school is in session for children ages 1-3 and a caregiver. Join the museum for songs and movement, story time, an art or craft exploration and community time for tots and their adults! 9:30-10:00am.


Enjoy fresh gulf seafood, live music and more at this four day celebration in historic John's Pass Village on Madiera Beach. Trick-or-treat through John's Pass from 10am until 6pm. 10:00am-11:00pm

Toddler Early Literacy Program at St. Petersburg Main Library

Join the library for story time featuring movement, music and fun with rhymes, stories, and puppets! For children ages 1 - 3 with a caregiver. 10:15am and 11:00am.


Candy Corn Painting at Growing Up

Make a fall craft and stay and play in Growing Up's indoor playspace after. This activity is included in the cost of a day pass or free for members. Registration required. 10:30-11:30am.

Preschool Story Time at Gulf Beaches Public Library

Preschool-aged children can enjoy songs, stories and crafts with a Halloween theme! 10:30am.

Master Builder Afternoons at Barbara S. Ponce Public Library

Put your engineering skills to the test while building with Lego bricks, Keva planks and other fun materials. For children in grades K & up. 3:30-4:30pm.

Trunk-or-Treat at Allendale UMC

Allendale United Methodist Church hopes you can join the fun in the north parking lot of the church. There will be plenty of decorated trunks and treats for all trick-or-treaters! 4:00-6:00pm.

Reading Fun Storytime at Childs Park Community Library

Children in grades PreK-2 and their caregivers are invited for stories, music and fun! 4:15-5:00pm.

S.T.R.E.A.M. Club at Childs Park Community Library

Explore Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math with hands-on science experiments, coding, stories, and more! For children in grades 3-5. 4:15-5:00pm



Boo Bash at Jim & Heather Gills YMCA and Bardmoor YMCA

Boo Bash is a free family fun event for both members and non-members including a moon bounce, trick or treat, face painting, snacks & treats, and arts & crafts. 5:30-7:30pm


Trunk-or-Treat at Grace Lutheran Church

Join Grace Lutheran for a fun trunk-or-treat! Wristbands are $20 and include unlimited games, a meal, face painting and balloon art. 6:00-8:00pm.

Field of Screams at City of Seminole Recreation Department

This family-friendly event is free, and includes trick-or-treating, costume contests, photo zones, and $5 unlimited admission to all bounce house inflatables. 6:00-9:00pm.

Field of Screams: Quarantine at Boyd Hill Environmental Studies Area

TASCO’s 13th Annual Field of Screams: Quarantine will have you fleeing for safety as you make your way through the village in the woods, trying to break out of the decontamination tent and escape the safe house hoping to find safety. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 day of. 7:00-12:00pm.

St. Pete Shuffle at St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club

Friday nights are free and open to the public at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club! Bring your own food and beverages and enjoy the courts. 7:00-10:00pm.


Addams Family Musical at St. Petersburg City Theatre

Wear your costumes to see St. Petersburg City Theatre's "Addams Family Musical." Tickets are $10. 7:00-9:00pm.

"Legends of the Fall" at the SPC Planetarium & Observatory

Learn some of the stories playing out in the evening sky this fall at SPC Planetarium's Free Friday Shows. During October, the planetarium will be haunted by ghosts and other creatures of the night. Children must be at least 5 years old to attend (ages 7 & up recommended for the haunted planetarium). 7:00pm & 8:15pm.


Saturday, October 27th


Saturday Morning Market at Al Lang Stadium

This lively and huge outdoor market is open from October to May in the parking lot of Al Lang Stadium. Live music, a variety of vendors and a strong sense of community make this market the heart of St. Pete. 9:00am-2:00pm.

Toddlerdega at Pro Karting Experience

This event is for mini drivers ages 2-6 or Power Wheel size drivers. Pro Karting Experience supplies the race track, you supply the driver and the vehicle. $5 pit pass per driver or $20 for Power Wheel rental/pit pass. 9:00-11:00am.

Enjoy fresh gulf seafood, live music and more at this four day celebration in historic John's Pass Village on Madiera Beach. Trick-or-treat through John's Pass from 10am until 6pm. Costume contest is at 3pm. 10:00am-11:00pm

This festival showcases 36+ member organizations, each representing immigrants from nations across the globe. On Saturday, there will be a Grand Parade of Nations, culminating in a swearing-in ceremony of new American citizens. Tickets are $10, free for children under 6. 10:00am-4:00pm.

Saturdays @ the Morean is a free family drop-in art studio hosted by the Morean Arts Center. 10:00am-3:30pm.

The Great Eeks-ploration at Great Explorations

Join the museum for Great Eeks-ploration, a day of fun, safe, and slightly spooky science and art. Guests can join the Education team for Critter Shows, experiment with smoke ring science, and play with polymer worm-goo. Included with admission. 10:00am-2:00pm.

Celebrate Halloween at your local Target. Kids are invited to come in costume and trick-or-treat through the store, plus watch an exclusive episode of Paw Patrol. There will be exciting giveaways, too. 10:00am-1:00pm.


Little Surrealists Tour at The Dali Museum Kids ages 4-11 are invited to bring their families on a special 1-hour Museum tour. Free with museum admission. 10:15-11:15am.

Star Wars Reads at St. Petersburg Main Library

Join the Main Library for games and crafts to celebrate Star Wars Reads Month! 10:30am-12:00pm.


Howl-O-Ween Pet Fest & PAWrade at 3 Daughters Brewing

Push, pull or carry your furry friend in the most spook-tacular PAWrade of the year! Pet adoptions, games, food, pet related vendors, training tips, demos, giveaways and more! 11:00am-3:00pm.


Storytime at Barnes & Noble

Join Barnes & Noble for a storytime and activities featuring "How to Scare a Ghost." 11:00am.

Paint a Frankenstein canvas at Growing Up and stay to play in the indoor playspace after! This craft is half-price for members or the cost of a day pass plus $3 for non-members. 11:30am-12:30pm.

Halloween Spooktacular at Largo Central Park

This widely popular, family-friendly event includes fun and games for kids 12 and under. Enjoy a trick-or-treat trail (12-4pm only), inflatables, a hay maze, games, music, activities and much more. Wristbands are needed for most activities. 12:00-5:00pm.

DillyDally with Dali at The Dali Museum

Children ages 4-11 can discover the creative world of Dali through games, puzzles and arts + crafts activities which educate and encourage family interaction. 12:00-2:30pm.

Public Works BBQ Cookoff & Rodeo at England Brothers Park

There will be plenty of FREE fun for the whole family including live entertainment, children's activities, inflatables, food & beer, fireworks at night, a rodeo and of course the BBQ contest. 2:00-10:00pm.

Join Tombolo Books for a "Peaceful Fights for Equal Rights" storytime, Q&A with the author, and booksigning. This event is for kids ages 4-8, parents, grandparents, and teachers. Tombolo Books is giving away prizes for teachers including a free "Peaceful Fights for Equal Rights" teacher's guide, classroom sets of bookmarks and a chance to win a Skype classroom visit with the author! 2:00-4:00pm.

Touch-a-Truck & BBQ at St. Petersburg Christian School

Join SPCS for a family fun day of creativity, learning, food and fellowship! Have fun with laser tag, a petting zoo, rock wall, STEAM activities, K-9 demonstration, police cars, firetrucks and so much more! There will be all-you-can-eat burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, side items & drinks along a vintage ice cream & churro truck. 3:00-6:00pm.

Halloween Bash at Romp n' Roll

Bring your little pumpkin for a fun-filled celebration and costume party! Festivities include games and activities, pizza and treats, a moon bounce and a bubble dance party! Members and non-members welcome. Every Kid will leave with their own treat bag. 3:00-4:30pm.



St. Petersburg Fire Rescue will be hosting a FREE Haunted Fire Station! While this is a family friendly event please keep in mind this event is meant to scare you, and may be too scary for some people.The Haunted House will be at the OLD station. 6:00-9:00pm.

Fall Fest Trunk-or-Treat at Central Christian Church

FREE inflatables, candy, and food! There will also be decorated trunks and a costume contest! 6:00-8:00pm.


Trunk-or-Treat at First United Methodist Church

Join FUMC for jumpers, climbing wall, hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn and an outdoor movie. 6:00-8:00pm.

Enjoy fresh gulf seafood, live music and more at this four day celebration in historic John's Pass Village on Madiera Beach. Trick-or-treat through John's Pass from 10am until 6pm. 10:00am-11:00pm


This festival showcases 36+ member organizations, each representing immigrants from nations across the globe. Tickets are $10, free for children under 6. 10:00am-6:00pm.



Food, music and fun in the street! Experience car-free roads connecting to the Pinellas Trail and protected bike lanes. Come bike, stroll, and roll! Welcome Area is at Albert Whitted Park. 11:00am-4:00pm.

Family Yoga Class at Peace of Yoga

Kidding Around Yoga Classes with Desiree utilize yoga poses creatively tucked into partner yoga, games and activities, original music, stories and more. This yoga class is specifically designed for kids ages 2 & up. Donations accepted. 11:30am-12:30pm.

Pumpkin Fest at Florida Botanical Gardens

Get ready for Halloween and come carve a pumpkin at the Florida Botanical Gardens! Templates and kid-friendly carving tools will be available for use. Children are encouraged to come in costume. 12:00-4:00pm.


Kids Halloween Party & Parade at Caddy's on the Beach

Bring the family to this fun event. Join Caddy's for great food, live entertainment and the annual Kids Costume Parade. 1:00-4:00pm.

Sundays at the Morean Center for Clay

Sundays @ The Morean is a free family drop-in clay play session hosted by the Morean Center for Clay. Clay, tools and working tables provided, please bring your imagination. This session is open to all families with children ages 3 & up. 1:00-3:00pm.

Pumpkin Painting Party at 3 Daughters Brewing

Join 3 Daughters and Trusting the Process for a Pumpkin Painting Party! There will be live bands, pumpkin painting, fall games, 3 Daughters food truck, photobooths, and over 25 amazing raffles and silent auctions. Pre-sale tickets are $15, standard are $20. Kids under 12 can paint a mini pumpkin for free. 2:00-6:00pm.

Spooky Barn at Saddle Up Riding Club

Come on out for Saddle Up Riding Club’s annual spooky barn event! Trick-or-treat on horseback and get a free hay ride to the event! There will be costume contest for the kids with a boy and girl winner. Concessions will be available and entry is just $1 per person. 3:00-6:00pm.
